VIVTEK’S range of high quality Karri Gum Wood and genuine Burmese Cane gaffs are fitted with galvanised spring steel hooks which are securely imbedded in channels that have been milled into the wooden handles (see insert photograph). Cane gaffs are notched. This fastening method will prevent the hook from slipping under the pure nylon binding. All gaffs are treated and finished with a top quality Yacht Spar Varnish. Model G.26 Salmon Gaff is fitted with a 316 grade 8 mm diameter stainless steel hook.

GAFFS - Hand




New to the VIVTEK range, these versatile hand gaffs are suited to both the Sport and Commercial Fishing Industry. Ideally used as a LIP GAFF or HAND RELEASE GAFF, and for removing the day’s catch from the fish hatch.
The aluminium hexagon shaped handle is comfortable to grip, for prolonged use, and offer the user a strong powerful hold on the fish. The hook is made of high grade 316 stainless steel. It is first threaded into the handle and then secured with a stainless steel pin.
 
LINE GUARD GAFF. This gaff enables the angler to guide line from under obstructions i.e. motor etc and guide the fish to a position where there is less chance of losing the fish due to chaffed line. Code: GXS . Price US$ 24.50
